Project Description

Obiettivi

Providing methodological and application-oriented aspects to build distributed simulation systems, which provide a flexible and low-cost solution to deal with the computational, interoperability and scalability properties required by modern simulation scenarios, without the need of using costly and complex dedicated platforms. Specifically, the course presents the relevant modeling and simulation paradigms, as well as the distributed simulation standards and implementation technologies (*knowledge and understanding*). At the end of the course, students get the necessary skills to know and use the standards and tools for analyzing, designing and coding Internet-based distributed simulation systems, and to effectively manage the distributed simulation lifecycle (*applying knowledge and understanding*). The topics covered in the course are applied to different domains, by use of various case studies, so to stimulate the student decision making abilities (*making judgements*), as well as the *communication skills* and *learning skills*.
